Default Eurovox

Dear All.

Please help a VERY frustrated muppet!!

I have just received my new Eurovow EX5100 PVR. All connected and am able to watch free channels but the rest of them all say ''Scrambled Channel''
I have been out and purchased a ''USB Serial Converter'' to connect the box to my Lap Top.
What do I do now???
I have watched some ''eurovox video tutorial'' on utube, doesn't help!!

Please help.

Hi and welcome to TechWatch

without being rude Muppet is a good explanation
The best advice I can give is to try to get your money back.
these boxes are now defunct or very close to it, a new encryption (nagra 3) has been implemented and made these boxes worthless and there is no fix.

if you say where you are we may be able to tell you if nagra 3 has hit your area.

I would suggest you read the terms and conditions of the site of where you purchased the box..

if you have already flashed the box with the hacked firmware then am afraid they might not accept the box back.

if you have not flashed the box yet then its highly recommended that you return it and exchange it for a box which actually works with the new Encryption which has been implemented by VM / Kudelski.

Info regarding which boxes work with VM is all listed on the starview and KV section / thread.

Your current box will no longer work!!! throw the box in the bin.

getting used the forum is not difficult mate... Me giving the link is like spoon feeding mate.

I know your new mate but believe me searching aint that difficult either.
