post a bit more info please like car, model. etc etc. also make sure u aint pressed the hazard lights lol.

without knowing wot car it is. just going off me head, i would check the indicator stalk and see if it feels ok as that might be at fault, or it could be the indicator relay, and if its got an alarm make sure there is no active faults which may trigger the indicators, or incase u put the alarm in valet mode.

also which side is flashing when its in the off postion

car is a citreon xsara 1.9 diesel w reg

passenger rear and front lights flashing when indicators are in the off position. i took off the panel at the back of the steering wheel, gave the switches a shake and the wires a pull hereand there and gave it a tap with my fist and heyho it fixed it. bearing in mind i know absolutely nothing about cars this is a minor miracle that i sorted the problem. i just hope that it doesnt happen again. if it does happen where is the relay or switch so i can maybe replace it and how much to get it fixed?

thanks

well if it happens again i would unplug ur indicator stalk and see if it stops if it does then i would change ur indicator stalk u shud get one from a scrap/breakers yard for under a tenner. if it is still flashing then try and locate the relay somtimes u will find it next to the fuse board or under the bonnet in a black box with other relays.

but hopefully for now it is just a one off problem, and the good old tap on the dash has solved it lol

I have a similar problem with a Peugeot 307 56 reg where the headlights come on by themselves. The switch is in the OFF position when it happens. It appears most often, but not exclusively, after I have used the indicator. Any bright ideas, please?
Thanks in advance.
