Default Prof Tuners PCI/e cards

I need to put together a new HTPC and want to upgrade my old Skystar2 card. My main interest is feed watching rather than hunting as I'm happy to leech new finds from the feed hunter boards or scan existing transponders so blind scanning isn't top priority at the moment. I've been drawn to the Prof Tuners cards but re-checking my bookmarks in the last few weeks I see there's been some 'politics' within the company forcing a split of the original partners.

Prof-Tuners now seem to use the name Advance Tune and show the Revolution 7301 PCI DVB-S2 as an archived product so presumably it's no longer produced or sold by them? Proftuners show the same card as a current product.

Exactly the same situation exists with both companies for the Revolution 8000 PCIe DVB-S2. Prof-tuners and Proftuners

Prof-tuners now show some new models, AdvanceTune 8700 PCIe and AdvanceTune 9700 PCIe although thie latter might not be on sale yet. Is the 8700 just a renumbered 8000? Likewise, I'm wondering if the 9700 is a renumbered version of the 9000 that is listed on the proftuners site even though the links there fail to show anything? (Maybe a product the original company was working on before the split?)

Having got my head round that lot I'm trying to work out which one to get as my new mobo has both PCI and PCIe slots so I'm not restricted in that respect.

Comparing the published specs and features of the 7301 to the 8000 there seems to be nothing different apart from the connectors being PCI or PCIe or have I missed something?

Are they the same to use with similar performance or does one work better than the other?

So assuming the 9000/9700 isn't out yet as I can find very little information on it anywhere on the net which is the one to go for, 7301, 8000 or 8700?
