Default Starview, sorry how do i keep my broadband?

Hi guys, first post and all that!
Wel just got my new starview out of the box firstly to find the cable to download the software does not fit my laptop, the laptop has a 15 hole connection, what cable do i need to ask for at Maplins ?
Secondly and sorry for asking because the answer is proberly starring me in the face! But at the moment i have a ethernet cable that connects to my NTL box to give me my broadband, i see there is no connection on the back of the starview box, so how will i get my Broadband?
Thanking you in advance for any help.

hi, how old is laptop?can you noy get access to another pc just to flash software,as i thought 15pin is your printer connection, and to keep your b/b just connect to starview box first then run another piece of cable from cable out to the ntl box, thus keeping your b/b.

preferably its better to keep it on as boxes and providers usually converseas you may have noticed sometimes ie keys locked updating when i try to watch teleport replay it usually happens.plus you get to put it in another room if you wanted too.
