Hi Folks,
We recently had a power outage and the modem went offline, when the power came back on it was down. I've gone in and tried a few other macs, a couple of which were good and the modem went through the motions of ranging, getting IP etc. and it came up as operational, all lights as expected etc. but I'm not getting any 'net connection. I know there's probably some glaring oversight that I've made but I just wanted to run it past you, for your opinions. It's an Ambit 255 running Haxorware 1.1.32 Cheers muchly, |

Thanks for the replies.
My NIC is always spoofed. I specifically changed it before I re-configured the modem. I also changed my router's MAC (which was pointless anyway because I haven't been able to plug the modem into it yet!). I've tried loads of MAC's too, most (as expected) don't do **** but a couple went through and went online. I've also tried factory re-setting the modem and re-doing all the settings, still getting the same outcome though. |

What does that equate to? The modem being locked out?
Is there a different config I can apply? I've been tinkering with this stuff for a while now but I've never had the cause to mess with configs, so if you wouldn't mind excusing my ignorance on this subject.

basically your macs are no good so the headend assigns a config which will allow you to go opperational but with no axx to net
do you get the reg page come up?

Haven't had any new page come up. Had problems even accessing the 192.168 page tbh, had to go in a manually add the IP settings..
So is it a case of trawling for new MACs or..? |
