How to root HTC Desire, Hero, Wildfire

hi guys, i could do with alot of help doin this root thingy, havent a clue but am pretty good if someone could guide me through it, phones pretty new so im assuming its 2.2, another question i would like to ask is where to get all the apps from once this root thing is done? Thanx in advance...

hboot 0.93 0001,radio-5.10.5.30 aug 10 2010 if thats any help,i see hboot usb plug,i press power button,it goes to fastboot usb but i cant do anything after that.plz help or this phone may risk gettin bounced off the wall very soon....

Hi Zedman, I tried many of times when I first got my phone and I never did root my phone. At the time if I can recall if you put the 2.2 on your phone you had to do a different version or couldn't at the time due to me putting 2.2 on, something about the screen I had on mine was another reason. Sorry I'm not much help and this was months ago and everything will have changed now.
