All cards should auto update reasons why they don’t.

Mosc (modified original smart card) rom10 rom11 - The software on the original cards will always process the keyroll EMMs correctly if they didn’t then subbed cards wouldn’t either!! To prevent cards being disabled or killed by the cable company’s people who post up public images install bugcatchers/blockers on them which may prevent a new keyroll method from being processed i.e. no AU.

Titanium/Opus - run simulation flash files i.e. behave almost identical to the original cards. There are differences between the two i.e. one time programmable areas and registers etc that the CCs exploit to prevent the cards auto updating. I believe the eurovox dbox etc are similar to this not an expert on them though!

Fun Cards/Atmegas - run emulation software i.e. they have a cut down version of the rom10 code, they do not need to perform a lot of the house keeping routines that the gen subbed cards do. There is usually some kind of mask, like a firewall, that will only allow the current keyroll method through for processing. If the keyroll method changes the card stops auto updating because the current mask rejects it, the flash file is modified to allow the new keyroll method through.

Yes, put your fun card into the programmer, open software, read the external eeprom (exteep) save it to desktop or a folder, there is a program called atmega ird + bk reader in the download section, open exteep, that will give you the ird + bk.
