Question Starview 6 & alternatives?

Hi, I've just read through a lot of posts and seen a lot of comparisons of the new SV6 or HD Combo whatever that one is? but I've been away for a few months and would appreciate a catchup, you see my mate has a SV6 with a wireless router and says it's nothing to do with CS, can anybody enlighten me on this, I mean is this the 'way to go' for now? Is there much risk?.
I had thought that sat would be the option but I understand the difficulties with regards the full info so please just post what's acceptable + any pointers are much appreciated, My mate did say his system is running similar to the days of old yet a small percentage of content isn't available but the best is,
PS I'm a sports fan and thats all i'm really interested in.

Thanks

Just take it that they work less said the better about the working of the boxes, especially as its an open forum and is been watched along with other's as well.

I also suggest you take a look at the Kryptview box as well do your homework before you ponder your cash.
