Lightbulb A Different use for EX5000PVR ?????

Hi Guys, here's an interesting question for you.
I like many others now have a useless PVR5000.
After an attempted break in to my house I was looking to install a couple of CCTV cameras, after fishing around on tinternet I see I need a Digital Video Recorder.
To keep costs down, does anyone think that I could buy a Camera and hook it up to my PVR5000 in able to record onto HDD for the camera?
Thus just using the PVR for the security system?

If this is possible can anyone tell me how and what I need? ie adapters ect.....

If this is possible, maybe we dont have to use these boxes as doorstops after all????

Cheers guys
Goochie.

the only thing you will be able to record woth your ex5000pvr is freeview channels. you could hook the cameras up to your pc or a dvd recorder if you have one.

Is there no way somehow to tune the box into a camera?

as an AUX or similar?
