Default instead of sniffing for macs, is it possible...

Hi all,

I was wondering instead of sniffing for macs, is it possible to retrieve a persons mac over the internet by using programs such as windows messenger and facebook?

Sure, just ask if the your friends/contacts are on Virgin then ask them to go http://192.168.100.1/CmInfo.asp and read off the mac address to you.
