Default Sky Broard band

Hi
Just joined and need some advice.

I have been with pipex for 2 years don't like them, very expensive not always reliable and the staff are not always that nice. Anyway I have Sky TV and my phone is with Sky so I'm interested in their Internet service, upto 16mb and unlimited downloads for £10 a month. I called pipex up for a mac code today and they did their best to change my mind, basically saying sky are crap and their Internet is provided by Tiscali ( run for the hills) So for now I have left it while I do some research, What do you lot think? Is Sky's Internet provided by Tiscali?

Could be wrong but I believe it's Easynet if you're on an LLU exchange.

Ok I,m going to give sky a go, after looking at the reviews the all look bad in some areas, I think its a case of pay your money and hope with all ISP and their is a clause in Sky's contract that could let you pull out if they don't deliver, Pipex were OK I suppose but quite expensive and like most company's now only interested in new customers, if you were an existing one tough, you cant have any brilliant new offers. So I have orded my mac code (only took 3 phone calls) so lets hope it arrives. Fingers crossed

Trouble with most broadband companies is that they lower the prices and remove the support with it.

I didn;t like Pipex either - 20 minutes for an answer on telephone support - but I always recommend Zen Internet.

It's more expensive - but if you ever need support, you've got it within 30 seconds.

Pipex were great to stat with but as soon as the became more popular the service went down. Not heard anything from Sky yet, called on the 19th might chase it up tonight.
