Newbie in need of help!!

Ok, I'm looking for a cable box, heard that Starview can be a bit hit and miss so looking for any suggestions for a good box and also supplier. Also, can someone tell me (by PM might be safer) what channels I can expect to get.
I'm slightly techie (certainly more so than the husband) but would ideally like plug and play.
Of course, if someone wants to install it for me, I'd be more than happy!!!

you're a bit late.....by about 10yrs.....conventional cable scene is dying....search fo N3 and all will be revealed...then search for card sharing to see if u want to go down that route......
