Hi mate the way I used to do mine was to have the box hard wired to the wireless router and the lappy connected to the routed wireless. Then just let DCC find them and double click on the right one for each. I still have my AZBox Premier connected that way.

Regards Wez

you'll need to ensure that the LAN connection on the laptop has a static IP address similar to the DM (but not the same ) You may have to investigate Internet Connection Sharing on the laptop to allow the DM to go online via the laptop, assuming that's what you're intending.

Good luck

That all depends on what operating system you use on the laptop

If it's Windoze, you need to open your network connections folder, you'll see least 2 connections, one for your wireless connection, the other for your LAN connection (usually used with a cable). Right click on the LAN one, goto Properties, then TCP/IP. select properties, it's usually set to get an IP address automatically, you'll need to set it manually, similar to the IP of your DM.

Presumably, whatever it was you wanted to do with it in the 1st place

Sorry, I don't have a Dreambox, so I can't help further.
