Just signed up with VM on the 20meg package, so got one of the combined modem routers. I'd prefer a modem only box.
From what I've read it appears I would need to get the encryption key/certificate from the existing modem router to use in a different modem. This appears to require trying to get a dump of the memory on the router. Right so far? Are there any instructions for doing this on these newer modem routers? |

I was just about to order BB and came across this all in one crap, I don't want to use their crap.
So bump in case anyone has any ideas. One possible solution (I'm not making this up). Over on the VM forum theres a whole load of homosexers complaining they cant get on the Gaydar chat site with the new hub. It seems they are being given separate modems and routers as replacements. VM might be a little scared of being branded homophobes, so... |
