starview - lost all premium channels

Hi, my name is andrew and im new to this updating and all that. I had a look about loads of threads but couldnt find anything about updating starview boxes so just wondering if anyone could help. I got a starview box about 3 weeks ago and stay in the falkirk area of scotland near edinburgh. I have lost all movie channels nd all sport channel including setanta and prem plus. Just wondering if anyone could tell me how to get these back or how to update my software because i dont have a clue about this.

Help would be much appreiciated.

Hi, i figured out how to do it a will give a detailed description;

Press MENU, go to INSTALATION, go to FACTORY SETTINGS and press OK enter code 0000, press OK. Press to delete language then choose english. Go to INSTALATION and do an AUTOMATIC SCAN, press OK. Let it do the full scan should take about 10-15 minutes. When finished it will display all the channels found, press OK let it save then keep pressing exit till uv come out of the menu. The channel being displayed should be PLAYBOY TV.

Switch on emulator

Press MENU then PARENTAL CONTROL press OK.
Point the remote at the box and press INFO button, nothing will happen until you type in the code (2004), the Cas System menu will appear, scroll down to the bottom of the screen to the KEY EMU. Switch on the the EMULATOR by pressing the LEFT/RIGHT on your control. Keep pressing exit to come out of the menu.

Sort channel in alphabetical order

Press MENU go to INSTALATION scroll down to channel edit press ok and enter code 0000. On th left hand side you will see sort etc. press the RED button then press the RED button again. The channels will now be in alphabetical order. Press OK let it save then keep pressing EXIT till the station come back on, should be ABC1.

Hi there - help

I have lost all my premium channels on my starview box/....
I have tried resetting to factory settings, and have reinastalled but still no premium channels- i still get all normall channels

Could anyone tell me if there is a new patch or something that I need to get to download onto my box (as I did ages ago) - and if so where can I get it..?

Hi, I'm a newbie and need some help, plz. Had the starview box for about a month now and, up until now, have had no problems with it . Today I've lost most of my channels. I've tried doing an auto scan but it hasn't worked. On the channels I've lost it says ' data being updated' , when it reaches 100% it tries to bring up the channel and then starts data being updated again.

Any help would be gratefully received, thanks

starview is down again in my area-central scotland,i have tried all the old images but to no avail the key's can be input manually but for ma gran thats no an option
does anyone have a new working image??????

there os no working solution as of yet, all i know is that 2.58 auto updates in pure NTL areas only

ALL IN ONE GUIDE UPDATED 100% Working
By Doobyoon..
Entering keys manualy works fine.
Works with all firmware except 258 as known to have issue's with getting secret menu up
also no need to scan/reset just follow instructions below

To put keys in manualy do as follows.

press menu
press 1570. this takes you into secret menu
Hit ok on nagravision
and change both keys 0, and key 1

Make sure your cable provider is listed at top N** or t******t ect
To change between the 2 keys
highlight key number press right and left

When key changed hit ok (To store) after each one (YOU MUST SAVE EACH KEY
INDIVIDUALLY - I.E. AFTER CHANGING n** 00 MAKE SURE YOU SAVE BEFORE CHANGING n** 01 & SO ON)

REMOVED KEYS AS MOST ADMINS DONT LIKE PM MESSAGE ME FOR FULL GUIDE

If done full factory reset/scan dont forget to turn on EMU
>> DO NOT PRESS SET DEFAULT KEY OR WILL RESET KEY CHANGE ABOVE <<
Now exit and all channels ok

On the starview remote:

Pause button = Letter A
Audio button(next to pause!) = B
Red(sub) button = C
Green(next to Red!) = D
Yellow = E
Blue = F

To enter numbers use the numbers on the remote 0-9.
To move left or right use the navigation buttons left and right.
To confirm press ok.

4. Red Audio Button for Goto Key Manager

5. Choose the top option and turn OFF the auto update.

6. Press the Blue button to choose the NAGRA option

6. Three left arrows back take you to 'Prov ID 0x5B' which is TW 4 back is 'Prov ID 0X55' is Ntell and 0XC1 is ex C&W etc

7. One down arrow takes you to the 0x00 - i.e. Key 0. Press OK

8. Up pops the HEX Keyboard - just type in the new numbers - it puts the dots in for you. Do this for Key 01 as well.

9. Exit out -should be sorted.
