Default Signal boost/lmb options spain

Hi all. I have had Sky in Spain, (Mallorca) for some years running from a 1.3 meter dish. I understand why I cannot get some channels and lose signal on others at certain times.
I am about to upgrade to HD and 3D, and wonder if anyone has any recommendations regarding receivers and LMB's? I cannot change my dish, but am happy to pay for some specialist equipment if such a thing exists?
I have read that the Thompson HD box should be avoided for example. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Actually, that is a question I have never been asked. I have no idea is the answer. Its slightly oval, 1.2 meters X 1.3 meters. I have no space for a larger one unless it is within that size constraint.
Are there any other clues as to what type it is??
Thanks.

It sounds like an offset, can you post a photo of it?

If it is an offset, you should try an Inverto Black Ultra on it. Not any Inverto, it must be the BLACK ULTRA.

I also have a Thomson box. Has a very sensitive tuner and calls home for multi-room reliably over VOIP (make sure you buy one that has has the power supply unit capacitors upgraded).

If you have CT100 cable runs then think about replacing them with CT125.

Bear in mind that the HD versions of channels are completely separate to their legacy definition equivalents. For example Channel 4 HD is on a south beam. Check the listings at flysat .
