dreambox load up

can anyone describe how your dreambox loads up from start? i think mine is faulty , i have a drembox dm500s loaded with darkstar11 , mine switches on with darkstar logo then ccam box loads up for about 5 seconds then goes into standby mode , i am only receiving freeveiw on box, any ideas guys

if your seeing free chnls its not in standbye.

yeh but should it switch itself into stanby ,i think its loading ccam then goes to standby coz its fualty load up, by the way its been set up for cardshare and i aint getting the scrammbled channels , the seller says its not communicating with my router the firewall is stopping it do u think this cud be the case!

The dm500S you have is defo a clone... its very hard to get hold of a genuine Dm500S.

Clone boxes work perfectly as long as they flashed with the correct images. Never used the dark star Image but u can flash the box wit the Enigma Clone safe image.

If the box is loading up and u can watch the FTA channels... then I dont understand what could be wrong... you state that it goes into Stand by.. the box does not go into standby by itself unless you ask it go into standby.

I wont say anything about C/S of things... but I would suggest that you re flash the box.

As far as you not getting the channels u require well thats something we cant talk here considering you mentioned your setup already.

I will give you a hint... if your internet is working fine then Your router is not the problem!!!! Check the IP address of the box, subnet mask etc etc... Ping the DM box from the router and see if you getting any replies. there is no reason to disable the firewall. Also no reason to open ports as its pre confgured. should be along the lines of: menu > setup > expert setup > communications



p.s: this is why they say... never buy a pre configured box unless you know the person well.
