I just did a bit of research there.
The standard modem currently issued by UPC Ireland is a Cisco EPC2425:

http://www.upc.ie/pdf/4755_UPC_WiFi_Brochure.pdf (see page 14).

Now, according to the devices manual on the Cisco webpage, the model only supports DOCSIS 2 at the most:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/coll...86/7016662.pdf (page 2)

"Compliant with EuroDOCSIS 2.0, 1.1, and 1.0 standards along with EuroPacketCable specifications to deliver high-end performance and reliability"

So if UPC Ireland are switching to DOCSIS 3, they have at the very least have to give backward compatibility to their current modems, thus allowing the Motorolla SB5101 (which supports DOCSIS 2) to still function, along with the Haxorware modded versions?

TL;DR
DOCSIS3 (even if it is being phased in by UPC Ireland) is not what is causing the problem here

Hi there mate, no luck at all.

Sometimes the modem will get to operational but the last 2 lights on the modem don't come on and the modem just reboots.

I flashed some of these modems a long time back and had them set correctly but I reckon I've tried all settings and still no luck but if anyone else has any opinions/thought just let me know and I'll give it a shot.
