Default Are modems still working in Ireland ?

Hello there,

Can any of you guys tell me if the cable modems are still working in (Dublin) Ireland ?

I purchased a cable modem about a year and a half ago and it was working perfect running haxorware rev31 at the time.
I've been abroad for sometime and when I put it on today it's not working.

Now honestly I kinda forget all the settings ect... but I upgraded to haxorware rev39 and I tried a few mac address but I can't get connected.

I've browsed some threads on here and I changed the freq to 490000000 but still no joy.

My modem goes from ranging to IP complete to operational but then reboots again and then doesn't become operational again.

Just wondering if the modems are still working in Ireland.

Many thanks

I would be grateful if someone could shed some light on this aswel. About 4 months ago I got a Motorola sb5101, flashed it with haxorware rev39, and tested it on a mates NTL, just to see if it worked. It did, and i stored away the modem until sometime that I might need it.

Last week, i leant it to a mate and he couldnt get it working, saying that the modem would go through all the steps successfully, get a config file, but then restart. This would continue in a loop. Same story when he used another mates legit mac address.

Anyone know whats going on/how to fix it?

Just an update on this, very frustrating to say the least :/

I've tried numerous things but still not luck.... I get to IP Complete and then registration complete and it just stays there.
On the modem the 'enet' light mostly stays on, the 'send' light is blinking and the 'recv' light is solid on too but nothing on the sync and ready lights and then the modem just keeps rebooting.

The MAC's I have are about a year old, in anyones experience does this sound like a router settings issue or a mac issue ? I've tried a ton of MAC's but just keep getting stuck on registration complete.

Thanks

EDIT:

Ok well I changed it to BPI + Bypass and it went through all the processes and said 'Operational' but on the modem I only had 3 solid lights, the enet, send and the secv and the sync and ready never came on at all and then the modem just rebooted agian and again.......

have a look at the size of the configuration file (bytes) on the first page, if its around 420-430 bytes its ok, anything other than that like 72 bytes or in the 300 range then you need a new mac
