As you said a post or two back, CS cant really be stopped (at least with the present generation of cards/boxes).
What can be done, however, is to make it unpalatable to those who aren't technicaly minded enough to keep up with developments or protect themselves. This effectively deals with the majority of the problem. Sky/VM etc wont be bothered about the tiny technical minority who are going to play regardless. The cost/benefit ratio of doing so just wouldn't be worth their time and effort. btw, thats not to say they wont have such a person when the opertunity presents. Its a strictly Darwinian "survival of the fittest" process. In the mean time though, mass CS is a reality. All that remains now is to see how the various providers respond. Whatever they do, i'm sure it wont be pretty and somebody somewhere will end up doing time ! |
