Hi Guys,
Just joined the forum seeing as there is so much good advice here ![]() I have recently moved house (out of london to the countryside) it's a really nice area, the only problem is i get no mobile signal I get a weak signal sometimes outside or maybe by a window but not enough to make a call. It is so annoying when i get a voicemail come through and it is from the day before! My new house is quite old so i guess the walls are thicker than my old house which ironically was new The reception outside though is still not enough to make a call. This can't be a new problem for people who live rurally so does anyone have any solutions? ( apart from moving back to the big smoke!) I'm on O2 and use an iphone 3g if it helps. Thanks guys

Hi, Im fairly new myself and found great info on here to.
I can offer some advise for you. Two weeks ago I bought a mobile signal booster kit as i live out they way in in the highlands. The mobile repeater kit said it would turn half a bar of signal into five full bars, similar to you i was fed up getting text messages days after they had been sent so i thought I would give it a go. To be honest when I had set it up and turned it on i was really surprised how good it was as i had 4 bars everywhere in the house sometimes 5. It took about an hour to set it all up but its been up and running just over a week now and its still working fine. I am on t-mobile and using the Iphone so I can't confirm it works for O2 but i don't see why not. I got mine from here, seemed to know there stuff and all came packaged well so can't really fault them.mobile signal boosters and mobile repeaters Good luck. |

Thanks for the replies guys, I have got broadband on my landline sometimes its awful especially weekends. I think I will look into the signal booster things and go from there. I have thought about getting the phone unlocked and trying some different sims see if they are any better.
