new cards???

hiya all, i received my f, cards, size 512 this morning the files now seem to write with no error or aborted, but i have written to card and tried it in my box the screen on tv is staying black except for bbc 1 etc the free channels, usually it will have writing saying not subscribed to channel but thats not there, but is if i put in a blank card in, also the green light keeps flashing when the written card is in,
does anyone have any ideas as to what im doing wrong i have erased card, read the card and written to card also i have unistalled my cas 7,9 as that is the software i got when i went to duolabs for drivers so im a bit puzzled as to whats the problem now cheked device manager and all seems ok in there i really dont understand what pro is

Enter the ird key backwards

Check if you have loaded the wright file i.e tw

check your ird and boxkey, make sure the details are correct, write the files in order as stated in tutorial.

Turn to channel bbc 1, leave for 5-10 mins, for the card to update.

That should do the job!

You can also check in the engineers menu to check the card is being read properly - ie the card is not upside down as a M8's daughter had done

thanks lincsat been out all day so goin to get stuck into the problem tomorrow, hope i can sort it out, strange the screen doesnt say not subscribed to channels though with a written card but does with a blank one ?

I am just up & running now (Watching World cup cricket now) Thank you all & guys/site for help, just followed the fun tut.

I have the same programmer as you and I bought some fun5's, In your previous post I noticed you "selected fun4". To programm these cards you must select the PrussianCard from the dropdown menu.

Funcard/Funcard2
PrussianCard/Funcard3
PrussianCard2/Funcard4
PrussianCard3/Funcard5
PrussianCard4/Funcard6
PrussianCard5/Funcard7

Funcard4=prussianCard2 Funcard5=prussianCard3, if you select the right option for your card I am sure it will work if you followed the tut.

PS You can also update CAS Studio to ver 8.0 direct from site

thanks roots man yeh got it sorted out in end mate i was using cards with to small a memory, so got fun 5s and everything worked ok

hi ive got fun 4 and having same prob , how did you know the memory wasn't big enough thanks

Read dazler's123 original post, however genuine fun 4's have enough memory.

The difference between fun cards is the memory capacity
Fun Card 1 = 16kb
Fun Card 2 = 64
Fun Card 3 = 128
Fun Card 4 = 256
Fun Card 5 = 512
Fun Card 6 = 1024 etc

Your fun 4 should have 256 mem, which should be enough.
