Default Chipped HD virgin media box, Some channels dont work.

Hello,

As all the chipped boxes have gone ... i lost all the channels ... but for some reason some of the freeview channels have gone aswell so is there anything i can do about it. The channel shows up, when i go on it, its just black.

Also is there an alternative way of chipping now?

VM have no concept of freeview - You are either a subscriber or you aren't !

If you aren't a subscriber then you have no entitlement to actually receive anything whatsoever via the cable connection, even what you might consider freeview.

Well apparently there is some coders now turned traders. And there is a certain coder that doent agree with whats happening at the minute so there is a real possibility of an open source solution comming soon.

lol, open source, whats that exactly ?

Strange how most of the interesting source code for these so called open source boxes is actually unavailable.

So, rather than mention open source, say what you really, mean - code available for freeloaders who cant be arsed to do their own research !!!

The process to get a dreambox working on N3 in the UK has always been public. All it ever required was a bit of application !
