Sorry if it's already been posted, but VM are upgrading ALL upload speeds starting this month. (Oct 2010)
I came on here to see if there was a better rollout list but didn't find anything hence the post. Anyway, the Upload speeds page is all I could find. Cheers. |

they go on to say this....
At peak times we also slow down the speed of file sharing traffic – that's services like Limewire, Gnutella, BitTorrent and Newsgroup (Usenet) traffic. You will, of course, still be able to use these services, but downloads and uploads will take longer during these peak periods. ![]() ![]()

Lol, you can't please everyone all of the time. I have just discovered ADrive online storage. A free account gives you 50GB of storage with the only limit being a maximum 2GB upload size in one go. The main drawback with any online storage has always been a crappy upload speed compared to the download speed.
People have been complaining about it for years and finally, VM are doing something about it. To be perfectly fair, it would p.ss me off if I couldn't use my connection with a reasonable speed at "peak times" so its a trade off if you use alot of P2P. I'm quite happy to set the PC off when I go to bed for any uploads so I don't have to sit there waiting. This will make it easier to do more. |

Hi i'm on Virgin Media's 20mb. I've been getting download speeds between 17-20mb and upload speeds of around 0.80mb. I Havn't yet recieved an e-mail from Virgin but I guess i've been upgraded as my upload speeds are around 1.98mb now.

The information on the VM site has changed. Where they were listing areas as they upgraded them, there is now a timetable in PDF format
View it at the following link. http://shop.virginmedia.com/content/...hedule2611.pdf |
