Exclamation Technomate TM-500 Super Linux Enigma

Hi I am a EX CABLE box person and as everyone knows N3 has taken over, and I want to change over to satellite.

I am currently looking at the Technomate TM-500 and was wondering if someone could explain the steps I need to take to get the box to a stage where I could connect to a cs network and and receive what I need to receive.

A dummies guide please..

get the box,

flash the ur image using your existing network/router/switch ect and a simple 'loader' program

ftp to the box and edit the config file with your details.

He wants a Dummies Guide ... That is far too advanced for him.

Shuheb: Google it and you will find it.

once you have the downloaded the cam to the box... The cfg file is located in the var/etc... to be able to access the file you would need to login into the box via an FTP software like Filezilla

Configure the software... with the Ip address, port number, username, password and so on and then login

after the login in you would want to go to the correct folder / subfolder

but as G77 stated above that the command which has been given to you
i.e C:no-ip.dydns 14000 jerry jerry

you now enter that same line into the .cfg file

delete everything thats on that cfg file.. which opens using Notepad and then copy and paste the command line (Cline) which has been given to you by your provider.

This can be done within the FTP software there is no need to keep sending the file to the desktop and sending it back to box.. u can simply edit the file via right click and enter the details.

Cams can be downloaded via the Cpanel usin the Blue button on your remote... Dependent on Image your using of course.

or you can manually CH MOD the cam into the var / tmp folder.

if you still want support then my going rate is 500 quid an hour ..lol
