Default Advent C900 problem

hello,
i recently sent my advent c900 laptop off to the techguys to be repaired since the warranty was about to expire.
I got the laptop back and kept recieving a blue screen telling me the computer had to shut down to prevent a problem.
I tried to do a full destructive recovery and everytime i do it comes up with an error message, cannot apply vista.wim.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem or where i can get a new set of recovery discs for the model of laptop i have, as i do not have mine.\

Thank you very much

Was the laptop working before you sent it for repair?

Just that it could be the case that you can get the tech guys to sort it out if they caused the issue.

Since the laptop was not working correctly, following the repair, I would contact the technical support again and request that they repair it free of charge.
If they refuse then contact the company you bought the laptop from and request that they resolve the problem, as it was still under guarantee when it went for repair.
If they fail to do anything try contacting your local Citizens Advice.

This might not be just a software problem but could possibly be a hardware issue.

At the very least they might load Vista for you.
