Default Obtaining usable macs

just a quick one
does anyone know why now when i sniff for macs from home they can be used at home ,, they also seem to last longer than when i sniff form 4 miles away
i always thought this wasnt possible

its pretty mad now m8 if for instance your ubr is cpc3 ...swi4 then u need same ubr but different cpc

i know you mean bud ,, but this is off the same ubr and cpc ,, its really strange oh well while its working its working lol

he's correct you need to trade macs with someone close to you, on the same ubr, but not the same cpc.

justin you will be able to connect on the same cpc but only when the owner of that mac has their modem switched off, when they turn it back on and you are connected also a mac collision will occur and both macs will get booted.

yes thats correct if you are using a mac thats on and off and rebooting you are causing the subbed legit owner of that mac no end of problems so should cease immediately using that mac as this is not acceptable

I agree 100%, no disruption to a paying customer is acceptable,however (for testing purposes only) i have used Docsis 1.0 macs from the same ubr but different cpc,from friends/known subbed modems and both modems have been stable,I think this a temporary phenomenon maybe till network upgrades are complete.....same cpc and ubr,i wouldn't even try as this is sure to affect the sub IMHO.
