Hi anyone tell me the name of cable I need to conect lappy to tv to enable me to watch films no HDMI on laptop..

Hi stuss me again

I just got lead took a while of ebay tryin to connect advent lapy to samsung tv... go to source change to hdmi3 tv sayin not connected all leads plued in ..gone to personalization on lappy.. connect to projector or other..... tried sinc... turned on presenting also ...connect to ext display still no joy any ideas

on your laptop when its all connected to the TV.. you need to press and hold the FN key and then press the icon with the monitor switch... this should now display your desktop on your TV

Not sure but think you need some card for your laptop to make it work on a tv ..................maybe wrong but sure i read it somewhere

Nope you dont

As long as the TV and laptop have the same ports
i.e VGA , DVI or HDMI

it works!!!

Will give it a go ,my laptop has hmdi and so does tv .

If it works the footy off Veetle willbe on the big telly

cheers guys I will give it a go but I think I got a dodgy cable as I tried it with works lapy that we put on a tv and it wudnt work on that

There are many options to connect your laptop to tv based on the available hardware on laptop and tv, to see some of the options check out laptop to tv.
