quick q on sv7 when servers go down

hi all, thinking of getting a sv7 since my sv5 sucks now.

just wondering when servers go down, since they do down for a few hours and people say they can only get freeview channels.

what channels are avaliable when down ?

because on my sv5 - niagra screwed i can only get bbc, bbc2, itv, ch4,five, bbc3, bbc4, itv2+1, itv3+1 and itv4+1

hi,, the servers have never gone down here for more than a few minutes and very rarley.
not heard about these few hours! but if that does happen you will get the non paid for channels only.
as in freeview, check what virmin allow you when you have a free subbed box from them.

personally id recommend getting the box to see for yourself, its well worth the investment, and as they are less than £100 its a real bargain for the benefits you get.
personally id say pay a bit extra and get the starview combo, these are excellent and you have hd channels as well.

please dont ask which channels you get as in hd etc , check the virmin site for that,,, on a starview6 or 7 you do not get the hd movies and sports.

but you get the sd movies and sports channels.

Funny that Starview servers where down today, for 5.5 hrs from early morning till a while ago.

yea, i've seen the combo, and they just releasing standalone sat version, my thinking knowing starview, they wait a month or two and then release a standalone cable h.d. version.

sounds like someones got a lotta stock to get rid of. sv servers are mince. kv's well worth extra money on cable side

I had a Nuff with my Starview 7 it keeping frezzing and all my leads are right and working.

My skysports news hasnt come on or ppv i find these internet box not good i wish my old box was back on.

SV7 isnt a good box atall or the other boxes on internet am sorry to say this.

hopefully someone will have the balls to give us mere mortals a better hint to achieving the rsa etc to stop these dealers lining there pockets.


mass free tv will kill it all again ,, but to some its a hobby & there stuck in a loop lol

it can be done , just not understood by most,
