Default Dreambox Newbie

Hi as you will see I am new to dreambox and I am thinking of buying one but I don't know from where to start as there are more than one version.

OK here are some of my questions:

1. The first reason I want Dreambox is for watching english premier league, italian serie A and champions league football and maybe some latest movies and some good documentaries.

2. Which dreambox version I have to buy for the shows I mentioned above?

3. After buying the dreambox... do I have to pay monthly rates?

4. I have internet and a router what else I need for connecting dreambox to internet?

5. Along with the dreambox do I need a satellite dish as well? I don't think so but I'm still asking.

Thanks for now.

Not applicable

Any DM box with a sat tuner will do the job. The only difference is that if you want a HD one then u will need to select as to which one you want.. Depending on Budget of course.

3. After buying the dreambox... do I have to pay monthly rates?

Subscription ... YES... wether its a server of another person or a subscribed card. either way you have a monthly fee to pay.

And NO I cant help regarding where to find the Server!!!

4. I have internet and a router what else I need for connecting dreambox to internet?

Thats all you need but u need to locate a server. U cant just flash the box and expect it too work.

5. Along with the dreambox do I need a satellite dish as well? I don't think so but I'm still asking.

If you want the foreign channels then you want to look into getting a DisecQ dish or a triax Dish with multiple LNB's.

1M is more then enough.

p.s: would have been nice if you introduced yourself first.
People are struggling so if you expecting it to be easy as cable then you have a hell of alot of reading to do.

But if I find a server on the internet with the sports and progams that I need, do I still need a dish?

you need a dish at all times. No signal means no channels dude.

as Unadkat says the dish receives the Satellite signal the card is only there to decrypt the channels...
