you right there does seem to be an over heating issue

However I think this was with the Tuners itself from what am reading on the Google search link you posted mate. Basically from what I gather is that the old tuners i.e Rev K, J and so on did used to Over heat.

I havent heard anything in regards to the ALPS tuners failing yet.

My mate has had the Dm800 for like 18 months now I think and it came with the ALPS Tuner. No problems of Over heating so far and works like a charm as well. However time will tell.

Unless we have been lucky so far. lol

However thanks for the heads up on the over heating issue mate.

Fogot to add the openbox can be run direct from a modem

500c works both well as a server using rqcs and cccam or sbox or oscam

also works great a client box with cccam or mgcamd conected to csp
