Clone detection mate. The trick is to find a good old mac, get it operational and leave it plugged in. If the modem is turned off and back on it will stick at ranging complete or go operational but take you to the activation page. Some older macs stay on after a reboot but they are rare lol.

Cheers.

depends on when the scan was done, if it was over 6-8 months ago then they'l be old macs, basicaly anything from last year, also the stealth settings have to match, the standard motorola ones that appear when you flash the modem work for 0020 macs, if you change the mac and use 000f then you need to use ambit stealth settings

@ funkyfones once u have changed ur default stealth settings on haxoware does ur modem then survive and come back on from power cuts and reboots etc etc.

and how are you getting ur stealth settings, as iam after the correct settings to put into s/a 2100 modem. is it a case of download the file and open in vultureware

One of these days I'l get round to doing a tutorial,
ok I use hax rev39, ambit 250, 20meg mac has been working for months now and I turn off everynight and back on in morning, i'm paying for a 10meg but thats for laptop and Iphone, the 20 is for .
when you first flash with hax rev 39 the stealth settings are for motorola, the mac and stealth need to match.....soo....

If you use a 0004 or 0002 mac leave stealth alone or try variations of these...

Vendor - Motorola Corporation
Model - SB5101
SW Version - SB5101-2.4.1.1-SCM14-NOSH
SW Version - SB5101-2.4.1.6-SCM02-NOSH-NNDMN
SW Version - SB5101-2.5.2.0-SCM01-NOSH-NNDMN
HW Version - 1
Bootloader - 2164

or

Vendor - Motorola Corporation
Model - SB5101E
SW Version - SB5101E-2.4.1.1-SCM14-DIAG
SW Version - SB5101E-2.4.1.6-SCM02-NOSH-NNEMN
SW Version - SB5101E-2.4.4.0-SCM00-NOSH-NNEMN
SW Version - SB5101E-2.5.2.0-SCM01-NOSH-NNEMN
SW Version - SB5101E-2.6.2.0-NOSH-NNDM
HW Version - 1
Bootloader - 2164

If you have a 0040

use

Vendor - S-A
Model - EPC2100R2
SW Version - v2.0.2r1256-060303
HW Version - 2.0
Bootloader - 2.1.6d

or if you have a 000f mac use

Vendor - AMBIT
Model - E08C007
SW Version - 2.94.1015
HW Version - 1.19
Bootloader - 3.1.6d

or

Vendor - AMBIT
Model - E08C004
SW Version - 2.67.1016
HW Version - 1.15
Bootloader - 3.13.2

or even easier download

http://d01.m+gashar+s.com/dl/dcc6f4f/250.rar
(replace the + with e's)
and upload the haxorware.cfg and nonvol.bin to the modem (thanks to sr20) then put the mac in as the files will overwrite the mac

spoof nic, reboot and Voila.

Talking Re: Any idea why modems have went down

well stick forks in me eyes, i cant belive that after all this time and putting my haxo modems to the side because of all them going dead after reboot or power cut and needing new macs to get them going again etc etc. and all it needed was some stealth settings FFS lol.

i tried it on 2 s/a 2100 modems both i used 0040 macs and one i just changed the stealth settings to the s/a 2100 u posted, and the other modem i uploaded sr20's non vol, cfg etc onto it and left it with the ambit setting that was on it. and tested them and both work great now, i rebooted them and turned the power on and off (serveral times) and they came back on perfect.

i had asked for the stealth for s/a 2100 in the past but never got a reply from anyone, so i just like to say thanks again to funkyfones uv made me day
