As correctly stated previously, VM have no concept of freeview. This is because in order to have any equipment whatsoever connected you are supposed to have a subscription. There are no services available to non subscribers !

There are, however, some channels which are not encrypted (again, listed above) and can be picked up with old ex-subbed or 'alternative' boxes but this should NOT be confused with freeview

My mums husband got a sky hd box from a carboot sale, rang sky up and paid a one off fee of £20 and they recieve loads of channels and few hd, like itvhd. Just an option instead of virmin
