Default virgin box - using as a freeview box (missing channels)

i have an old ntl box from an old subscription which has been cancelled. i have connected a feed (still had broadband service) i am getting channels but some are missing such as itv, is there way i can rescan? or hard reset the box so it updates frequency and finds channels

its a pace box

if a buy a virgin hd box from ebay and use a feed? will i be able to get channels and in hd?

which channels are you talking about? freeview is all you will recieve without sub, im a bit unsure if you would recieve freeeview hd through vermin without sub. try reding through relevant sections in forum all will be revealed

No you would not get any HD channels with VM HD box without paying VM

There is no ongoing monthly charge for HD with Virgin Media, except if you want the Sky Premium channels in HD, when it is an extra £7 per month per box.

you cant scan original boxs. the free channels you should get are

101-BBC 1
102-BBC 2
103-ITV
104-CHANNEL 4
105- CHANNEL
106-BBC BBC 3
107-BBC 4
116 - ITV 2+1
143 - CHANNEL 4 +1
174- ITV 3 +1
175 -ITV 4 +1
601 - BBC NEWS
701 - CBBC
702 - CBEEBIES
ALL RADIO STATIONS

is your ITV channel all black r does it say sorry this channel is not available? if its black then more then likely its a signal issue.. try the other itv channels

yes you do wob all freeview channels and radio stations. but if you have the box chipped then ur get even more so your information is totally wrong go learn tv chanels
