This site is my last hope. I've been trying for ages to find somewhere to teach me how to program my fun card and *TL digital box. The following is my current status:
1. I have a PACE box and its corresponding box key 2. I need to confirm my IRD as i cant make out the guys hand writing who 'fixed' the box to cut off the feedback for me. I have tried the engineers menu (as suggested in another thread) but the 'Nagra IRD' provided is 12 digits long and according to the gmail thread should only be 8?!?! 3. How do i make a flash hex file for my area (Belfast). I don't have a clue what flash is If anyone can help with either of these problems they would be my hero for life! |

highholmer, I read the threads again and i still can't find any info on how to find the Area flash hex? The only reference i could find was in the Gmail thread which just states "Find your area flash" (Which is apparently easier said than done
). Incase i'm just being thick here could you send me a link to the thread you think gives advice on the matter. Thanks |

hiya mate,
it is quite straight forward, follow the fun card tut on g,mail, and try diffrent area flash files as i am in an ntl area but tried for days with ntl flash, then i tried the c+wireless flash and the channels came thru, and if i can do it mate you can as i no nothing about programing cards, you will also need a decent sized memory on your f,card, as 1 of my probs was the mem on my card i used was to small, theres plenty of help on here, and try reading older posts to get info and be patient as you will do it when you least expect to, keep on trying, can you bring up your engineers screen your ird should be on there dazler ps what part of belfast are you in as i go over now and then ![]()

Cheers dazler. 2 problems with that though.
1stly i don't understand this flash thing at all so were do i get various flash files to try. 2ndly is the 'Nagra ird' from the engineers menu the same as the ird mentioned in all these threads? if so the number from the engineers menu is 12 digits as opposed the 8 digits suggested in the Gmail thread/crack. I'm in South Belfast...(the quiet area) |

hiya
go to gmail, log into it and download the fun card tutorial, the files are in there, there is 1 for c+w, 1 for ntl, and 1 for telewest, i think belfast is an ntl area, but as i said in post i live in ntl area ( certain of that as i live near the bagualy office) tried the ntl file for days with no joy, when i used c+wireless 1 it worked so go to the gmail thread or link download the fun file tutorial and the files are in there it takes a bit of getting used to at 1st like most things pc wise, what programer are you using, erase card before you write the files, and just keep trying the diffrent files, and check your numbers you enter to see there in order and do the ird backwards, you must be looking at wrong part of engineers screen, as it is usually on there but only 8 digits, mine start with a 12 and other boxs ive seen start with a 12, the number is after, something like nagra serial code or similar, as at 1st i couldnt find it, you sound like you no more than i did mate, just keep at it and post if you need help i dont no much but i will try helping you if i can dazler ps whats the box your trying to do, as only ive tried pace 1000 boxs

Bloody hell! I think i've been a right ****! In reading the instructions on the word file within the gmail thread are the 'flash files' being referred to, those files called CryptHex(CW/NTL/TW)-v3.hex?
If so i apologise to all for my stupidity, sometimes its hard to see whats right in front of your face I'll have another crack at the ird number when i get home tonight. Thanks again to you all. |
