Docsis 3

Hey all,

I was talking to some friends in the usa and they have had docsis 3 hacks for about a year. Does anyone know the status of the uk scene and if anyone is working on a docsis 3 hack or what is holding us back

There are many work rounds, I can still have free sky, cable, internet look in to difrent ways to get the same end result!! As for USA sam as Irlend all N3 all hacked... Why the encripshion is difrent the roms we have is 124 (not hacked) Irelend 104 (hacked) so dosent matter there hacked becuse UK is diffrent, virgin are not going to do all the upgrades with hackble incripshion as it will be a wast... LOOK FOR WORK ROUNDS

Probably better if you understand what your talking about before commenting, N3 and DOCSIS 3 are completely different and unrelated.

As for DOCSIS 3 hacks there was one floating around a while back but not sure how credible it was, the main reason that there isnt alot of focus on it is because most of virgins network isn't DOCSIS 3 as far as im aware its only the 50mb thats DOCSIS 3, the rest of it is DOCSIS 1.1 which uses baseline privacy so you would need the certs from the original to clone it. il see if I can find the mention of the hack from a while ago

just to add the rom that we use is rom 180 and also in ireland its rom 142 from what I read last time was that it was dumped but never hacked.

And no there are not hacked / compromised in shape or form!!!!

Since when was N3 hacked in ireland ?

Yes N3 is Rom180
I think theres a little confusion here between Nagra 3 for TV and Docsis 3 for Modems !
