I'm not sure if this is the right manual but here you go: My Retrevo - My Manuals.

Some cases open at the front, the front panel is removable using clips on the side, this was a speciality with some annoying Dell designs.

They are very easy to snap off so perhaps it's best you return it.

Thanks for searching mate, had a look through and its a standard manual for all acer PC / Laptops

Bit of an update though, it is a all in one pc

http://www.techdigest.tv/2010/07/acer_launch_z57.html

Hope this helps in any search.

I am going to ring acer up and find out that way, will post with any solutions

Cool Re: Help with Acer z5700

It's quite easy to do...

..obviously annoying that some people 'have a go' at helping, but don't even bother to look up and discover that the Z5700 is actually an all-in-one unit and not a standard PC.

Anyways... To change the Ram:

There are 3 clips just above the socket, 2 of these can be eased out by sliding a thin tool along either side of the panel, levering gently.

The middle clip needs teasing out gently with said flat instrument.

Next - IMPORTANT!! - Once these three clips are free of their slots, slide the entire panel down towards the sockets and 'gubbins'.

(I wrenched it off which broke the clips that slide into place, which is how I realised it needed sliding out of place - best way to learn is from someone else's mistakes,it beats learning from your own!)

The memory is then located under the silver guazy shape which can be removed just by lifting out of place.

A helpful reply but you should have checked the date of the thread, it's over a year old, I think the problem will be resolved by now.
