With adsl lines its all down to how to far you are from the Bt exchange itself and also the attentuation and Noise margin on your line itself

The noise and attentuation can be tweaked if you use the correct socket.. i.e the BT accelator open reach sockets as your master socket. As these sockets are suppose to reduce interference and increase your Broadband speed by 1.5MBPS

but mainly its down to how far you are from the exchange itself.

If you go on the BT site they give a Estimate of what your line is capable of holding.

Use KV box with Sky broadband is not a good idea, infact its the same as using it with VM broadband mate

Secondly you would need a BT line as well which would add another 11.99 to the cost of the Line rental on top of your TV and broadband.

Sky will not give you broadband on its own and will only give you broadband if you have a TV package as well

ADSL lines are totally different from fibre optic and when they say on ADSL that you ''up to 20MEG'' that doesnt necessarily mean that you will get 20MEG

Further to the sky thing well you need a BT line installed first before u get SKY... because the box will need to be connected to the phone line at all times.

Unless you buy the complete kit from Ebay for around 22 quid.. As I just bought one recently and then install it yourself or get someone to install it for you.

Cheers mate, I did this I actually phoned up as Sky were cheaper only by a few £ but I also had the HD package in with that also, When I phoned them for the offer first off because I wanted another box with VM they wanted to charge me £40 for some guy to come out and put it in dispite the fact I was going to be paying them over £90 a month for the sub he said he could not remove it, I also stated the offer at the time they had on their website for new customers who took up their offer of 3 services FREE installation so I found this unfair which is why I was going to leave and when I went through to cancellation's they offered me the deal of £78 for all services I wanted with no installation fee. I might go back to Sky now and see what they say as they say every little helps.

Went back to Sky and Wow their customer service stinks, I stated the deal I had with VM and they said we'll give multiroom for free with a standard Sky box but the monthly cost is £90.15 so I stated I got the V+ box in the extra room also but they were that's the best we can do as I am repeating myself, I told the guy Dennis wow where did you learn customer service from. So def staying with Virgin Media after that
