Default TV stations?

If I purchase a Dreambox, what channels would I be able to get for free?
I used to have a Eurovox ex5100 which is now defunct.
Please help.

The channels which are free are the ones that you will get Free.

For example bbc is free channel so with a DM box that is what you will get.

You can view any FTA, Free to Air, channel, anywhere in the world, providing you can pick them up on a satellite dish, the problem is that satellites have a limited footprint, especially the more modern satellites which tend to use spot beams.

You can find rough guides, of various satellite footprints, on sites like flysat, kingofsat and lyngsat, that will provide approximate maps of the size of satellite dish required to receive various channels, e.g.:
Code:
http://en.kingofsat.net/beams.php?s=52&b=40
There are other methods of receiving channels, like a slingbox, where you can use your internet connection, which might be one way of viewing these channels.
