plugged the phone into the pc on wednesday night and it was there. 10 mins and my phone was on froyo and did not loose any contacts/photos/apps.

i then rooted it last night with the 'super one click root'

the 'one click root' didnt work as the new fw knew that the update.zip wasn't legit

froyo looks a bit better and once the phone has booted up it does seem to run a lot better. not sure of the battery life time yet as i've not had it long enough.

having the phone rooted is better, theres a lot more usable apps now. the handy one to have is the screenshot dumps

attachments doesnt seem to be working for me atm so i'll up a few later

RyanZA's OCLF (lagfix) might, just might, speed it up a wee tad more.
