Default advent keyboard fault

can anyone assist please? i have had to do a complete destructive recovery, everything has worked out well except certain keys on the keyboard i.e. the @ sign is now the" sign and a couple of others, i've tried all i can put can't put them back, any help will be appreciated

You've got the keyboard set to US instead of UK, go into the control panel and adjust all the settings to UK.
What Operating System are you running?

cheers mickha, vista premium and i'm sure i've set all to uk. yeah just checked and are all set to english uk

Go into the control panel and in classic view click on Regional & Language Options.
Click on the third tab along, Keyboards & Languages, click on change keyboards and ensure you have UK selected.
Personally I remove the US option so only the UK version is left.
