Unhappy Modem Problems

Hi guys I need some help, I have supplied some of my friends modems, and they was all working, up until 27/10/10 so they all got returned back to me, those modems have the latest FW of haxorware on them, I have enabled the BPI to 1.0, and have placed on them working MACS from a outer UBR, all of the modems work on my house, but when I give them back to my friends they do not work, is cable connections are all working fine, what can be the problem ? modems working in my house but not in theirs ? as they used to work like a charm for some months. Please help.

A lot of ppl are having the problem where if you get it working once and then reboot the modem stops working, its a combination of things, mostly the stealth and correct macs, even if they work they wont/dont last long so I wouldn't bother with them unless its for yourself or if you really like ppl calling you every 2 days to sort their modem out.

Like all said above its harder these days, you will have to goto each individual house and change the mac, once connected do not turn the modems off, teach them how to change the macs might help you out, good luck.

went to half a dozen folks to show them how to change the macs, which you will all agree is quite simple and not to much of a hassle, only thing now is most of them can get on the hax site, brought them back to my house and tried on 3 diff pc's and i can't get on either, any idea's with this problem folks

Where are you in the country? PM if you don't want to post it on here.
I'll get my max232 out tomorrow evening if I get chance, see if I can figure anything out.

That's why the modem looks to be online (all the right led's) but I can't access 192.168.1.100 or whatever the address is? Doesn't sound MAC related to me.
