Doesn't inspire confidence really does it? Brand new and an engine breaks up.

Very very worrying the cowlings are designed to stop exactly what has happend engine pieces Rotors/stators puncturing the wing very very lucky that it didn't ignite the fuel in the wings

Dear oh dear only about six weeks ago this happend to one of there 400's i know they have out sorced there maintnance about 16 months ago, all this on top of the rapid decompression last year on a 400 some questions need to be asked before this really does end in disaster

And a Qantas B747 had to return to Singapore with engine problems Yesterday - it was carrying some of the passengers from the Airbus that had the engine problem.
