Question Sigma X2 no good?

Been running a Motorolla SB5100 running Sigma X2 for a few years with very few problems, nothing a quick change of MAC address didn't fix. But recently, it's been a bit more difficult, with connections dropping after a few minutes of usage.
Is this a sign of the Sigma X2 being obsolete? I've read a few other posts that you can use stealth mode, what is it? I don't think the Sigma X2 has this function, so maybe a time to change the software to a later more upto date one perhaps?
