i just got a dm500s for a m8, flashed and scanned perfectly running on gemini 4 cccam 2.1.4. although i cant get dcc to work inorder to edit cccam.cfg file for cline, can any1 help me out here? got aa svhd combo and easiest setup i ever came across

u dont need the dcc apps to edit the cfg file mate

download a free ftp proggy like File zilla and go into the var / etc folder and edit the .cfg file.

still ant get it m8 think its cause of usb to serial isue with virtual com port and windows 7. found cccam info configuration via menu, can i use this to connect to server as i have the servers ip then just enter my username,password and port? need help here m8y been at this all day. have no probs upping/flashing just editing this damn ccccam.cfg

the issue is with your network mate. U dont need no serial to usb cable unless you want to flash the firmware

connect the box directly to the router via ethernet cable

go into the setup > communications

and check your BOX IP which is the LAN IP

download Filezilla

click on file > site manager

Give your box a name

click on the transfer settings Tab and check the box passive

then click on general tab > enter IP ( which is your box IP ) Port number: 21

username: root
password:dreambox

and click on connect

you should now have access to the box!!!!

if it fails then try the IP on your browser. if it still fails then ping the ip address and see if it gets a reply

if not then go back into your dreambox menu

communications setup

untick dhcp

put all zeros

Tick dhcp

Save settings

restart the box

once its boot up

go back and the correct IP address is allocated

then try that IP address and it should connect


P.S: you can dowload a software a called dreambox config file creator and then FTP that file to the var/etc

U cant connect to server with cccam.info

you need the .cfg which u can open via Notepad.

worked a treat with filezilla m8y, thnx a million. i should of read tut properly, was in 2 much of a hurry and thought i knew it all as the previous dm's ive done via usb.(much easier)
