Any Help With Sky Sport 1 and 3 not there??

Hello folks i have a starview hd combo lan version with the latest carling on it and all connected to router problems is i have not got sky sports 1 or 3 they were there showing no signal but when i scanned again the have vanished from list can you manually add them and if so how do you do it on this perticular box

I have searched forum for answers but nothing on this topic??

Any help on topic is greatly appriciated cheers

They are on the same frequency in this area and are very weak here, sounds like you have the same problem. The frequency will be different in each area and unless you know the frequency a manual scan is not possible.

I would suggest removing any splitters in your cable feed, check cables and connectors for kinks or damage and scan again.

one thing a lot of people miss is you should also check outside for a splitter, virmin add one there for an upstairs link and if its an older install they used an analogue splitter which seriously degrades the feed to these new boxes.
the signal rate and quality can be up too 95% even with these old splitters inline.
ive done a few installs and everyone had a nasty old splitter hidden in the outside box which i removed and replaced with a straight through f plug adapter/connector.
so to summarise, if you have checked and replaced any unused splitters inside, checked all your connections and cables are good and sound then remember the first connection from the cc is usually outside your property in the box on the wall,, its often overlooked, ive had people insist they have checked everything 5 times and still lsoe channels untill i come along and check the outside box, make a few changes clean a few connections and bang all the channels (usually after a scan) back and running.

anyway to find out the frequency?

i have a subbed V+ box can i check through this?

my signal is 95% and 95%, so i think it is probably a server issue, all ESPN TP has on down on the KV yesterday, SP1 & SP3 and the ESPN tp is down on SV today. probably Virg has changed the transponder codes so will have to wait for SV and KV servers to update

there you go people the good folk from SV have updated their server all back, SP1 SP3 and ESPN package, note for future issues if a couple of programs go missing sit tight and don't panic it will come back as soon as the engineers at the servers do an update

i got sky channels but not skysports news i think the serve isnt good in my area strange to say.
