Default using 3v+hd boxes in 3 different locations!!!!!

hi i would be gratefull for any feedback. this is my thoughts last nite wanting to view the boxing my mate who has a ligit vhd box brought round to my brothers house so the lads could watch the fight he payed the £15 for it. he reckons that if my brother got the full package v+hd all movies sports etc etc and purchased an additional 3 boxes and said their for other rooms in the house but really i take on home and two other mates take one each all live within a 10mile radius and all spit the origanal monthly fee would this work?? and does anyone have an idea of the monthly fee any feedback would be greatfully recieved thanks

Yes, it would be okay. Quite a few People are doing this.

Well, i have heard two boxes. Not sure about three. but shouldnt be a problem.

It's not how far apart you are, but whether you are on the same net id or not that matters.

How do you find the net id - is it the same as ubr?

Its actually not the Netid that matters but the ubr and possibly its node !

Generally, your only on the same node as maybe 20-100 close neighbours. UBR's can have quite a lot of individual node connections so can often support many thousands of customers. The UBR node is usually the first external hop in any route trace (Dos - 'tracert' command).

Ultimately, if a box isn't on precisely the same ubr node then vm can see that its not where its supposed to be and they could easily use this info in a similar way to how sky use telephone numbers with Multiroom.

Sharing boxes over more than a small distance may work for now but eventually i'm sure vm will start to look at the problem, especially as more people try using this method !
