Hi guys,
Thought i knew what i was doing but guess not. Need help setting up my surround. Hope someone can help! I have an LG 47LD450 TV, Samsung HT- C453, Sony PS3, standard Sky box and a Nintendo Wii. I am looking for everything to play sound through the surround system if possible, not too bothered about the Wii but dont know where to start. Please can you help? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

you will need an amp if you want to output everything from the homecinema system mate. The reason I say this is because Home cinema system dont give you enough 1) RCA ports 2) Optical you can have 2 of them connected... i.e a PS 3 via optical and Sky via RCA if you want to connect the rest then you would need to keep changing the wires everytime. I would either look / find a cheap a cheap amp or a 24 channel graphic EQ.

Thanks. I think the surround system has got an amp? But do i need an external one? Any links to the kind of one i need?
Would connecting all of the devices to the tv and then have the tv digital out connected to the surround work? |

your homecinema has got an amp built in but does not have enough Connections at the back for you to connect all devices... i.e like TV , PS 3 SKy and so on all at once This is why u need either a 24 channel EQ which are obselete and hard to find now... Unless you can find one on ebay or gumtree If you want a proper digital then I would start looking at ONKYO website or even Richer sounds as well. they are by far the best amps u can get mate. Quote:
![]() I have the same setup as you mate where the PC, SKY etc etc all connected to a Graphic EQ 24 channel (12 channel right and 12 channel left ). However this is all connected via the RCA and not optical which in theory would mean that I would only output stereo 2.0 rather then 5.1.
