Default Need Advice: Which is the best reciever for Dublin (Eire)

Hi,

First off, the name is Jon, I'm from Dublin and am new to all this. I look forward to being a long term member (so you should get a load of stupid questions from me )

I'm wondering if any Irish members could advise me on which box would be the best for us Dubs to get? I was looking at a Eurovox Max 2007 as I thought it looked like the best out there but I've seen Replay Lite adverts with the words "better compatibility for Ireland".

Does anyone know if I'm better off getting a cheaper box like a Replay Lite or a Starview for compatibility or would the Eurovox box work better

go for a eurovox mate, plenty of support for them, good reliable box and simple to use. very little support for replay so stay clear.Or have a look at the dreambox, supposed to be a good box with plenty of support but ive never used one so cant tell you much about them.Just stay clear of starviews there crap.

Thanks mate, I've noticed quite a few posts on here about the Starviews being crap, plus the guy who was getting me one wanted to charge €220, double what they are on eBay.

I was defintely leaning towards the Eurovox, just needed to know there were a few more out there in Dublin

The EuroVox 2007 model is the one to go for.

When tuning use Symbol Rate 6887 for N*L area and 6875 for Ch*rus area, channels are between freq's 250 & 500mhz.

Buy off eBay.

Question Re: Need Advice: Which is the best reciever for Dublin (Eire)

Hello everyone. I am a new member. I joined because I found the answer to my question using Google. I was looking for the symbol rate for Chorus using a Replay Lite.
I just bought one of these from a seller on ebay in the UK. I am in Chorus Land. My Replay Lite wont work. Is this the reason why? That its not programmed for Chorus area?
How do you enter the symbol which the member Dolphin says is" 6887 for N*L area and 6875 for Ch*rus area, channels are between freq's 250 & 500mhz.
Does the software have to be reloaded. The seller said he would send me the software reflash and guide me through it. Any help appreciated.
And by the way which of these boxes is the best Replay Lite or Eurovox. Does Eurovox work in Chorus Land.

Thanks

Best Recievers for everywhere is the eurovox. Bit of selling here, but ah well I come over to Dublin every week selling these, and the best 1 is the euros.
Also chorus you wont get as many channels as ntl, but thats how many Chorus give you. Change the symbol rate to 6.875 that should do it for you.
