i wasnt posting a method to get the prv functions back i was mererly posting about the fact that the bk and ird made no difference to the pvr functions of the box.

my family are tellime me that their pvr functions have recently gone and am going to look into it shortly.

i cant see anything working thou as the pvr functions are controlled by a teir on the card.

when we put the card in at first this tier is written to the card i think.

is it not looking to write the tier to a n3 card?

I haven't tried an N3 card because NagraEdit says that the ROM version isn't supported (ROM180 Mer000). The N3 card I received is paired up with a 2110c I got from Virgin a long time ago lol.

I think The Coder posted something about this in another thread, something about the tiers like G77 said, mines no longer working since N1 went off, lost Scify+1 at the same time and all the lost channels are now faded out in the guide.
Has any one tried sticking an unpaired N3 card in ? If it worked before with a wrong BK etc funcard on N1, i havn't got one to try.

I just tried my N3 card, all I get is a message saying "We are just checking your details" and it says at the bottom that this screen cannot be removed or something. It looks like the new update prevents you from using any other card than the one that is paired to box.

whats the current hardware version on the box?

is there a no update mod for the sa8300?
